At 10% penetration of FWD in the households in the city the chemical constituents are in the allowable range without any detrimental effect on the sewage treatment system. Projections for 100% penetration suggest necessary planning to improve the utility of the treatment plants using FWD will not cause clogging of the household kitchen drainage system. On the contrary, the vortex flushes helps to prevent food residues settling in the plumbing.
